The reality of total possession

When You Don’t Remember What You Did
What if you hurt someone you love… and had no memory of doing it?
It might sound like a scene from a horror film or a psychological thriller—but for some, this is a devastating reality tied to the phenomenon of total possession.
In this blog post, based on an episode of Remap Your Mind, we explore how jinn possession can go beyond mere influence, entering the territory of complete control over someone’s body and behaviour. And it doesn’t always look dramatic. Sometimes it’s subtle. Sometimes it happens in everyday life.
A Chilling Pattern
I connect three powerful cases that shed light on this often-dismissed reality:
- Sirhan Sirhan, the man who assassinated RFK, claimed he had no memory of the event. His case remains a mystery, even decades later.
- Derren Brown’s “Assassin” experiment, where an unwitting subject is programmed to carry out a mock assassination under hypnosis—again with no recollection of his actions.
- And most disturbingly, a real-life Ruqyah case I handled: a man who served six years in prison for violently attacking his pregnant wife. He claimed he couldn’t remember a thing. When we later did Ruqyah, the possessing jinn openly admitted to doing it through him.
Could This Happen to Anyone?
Yes—and it doesn’t always need to reach the level of physical harm or criminal consequence.
People under spiritual influence often report:
- Sudden blackouts or memory gaps
- Being told they said or did things they don’t recall
- Feelings of detachment or being “outside” their own body
- Uncharacteristic behaviours caught on video or audio playback
In some cases, clients only begin to believe something spiritual is happening when loved ones show them recordings of what they said or did while under influence.
Not Always Obvious
Total possession doesn’t always look like thrashing, screaming, or speaking in another voice. Sometimes it’s just:
- Coldness or cruelty that’s not typical
- Repetitive denial of events that others clearly witnessed
- Patterns of sabotage, destruction, or betrayal with no apparent reason
It’s easy to confuse this with mental health conditions, and both can absolutely co-exist. But in Ruqyah, we’re trained to look for spiritual fingerprints—patterns that suggest interference beyond what’s explainable by trauma or psychology alone.
The Aftermath: What Happens When the Jinn Leaves?
The aftermath can be even more heartbreaking. Some people wake up emotionally shattered, unable to believe what they’ve done. Others live with the consequences—broken relationships, lost custody, criminal records—while struggling to piece together what happened during the missing moments.
What You Can Do
If you or someone you know:
- Experiences unexplainable memory gaps
- Behaves in ways that feel “not like them”
- Reacts strongly to Ruqyah or Islamic reminders
- Is caught on video or audio acting out of character
…it may be time to explore spiritual support.
Total possession is real. But so is healing.
Through targeted Ruqyah, structured support, and consistent spiritual protection, recovery is possible. And understanding what you’re dealing with is the first step.
