Why You Feel Fear Around the Raqi — And Why It Isn’t Really Yours

Many people who come for Ruqyah say the same thing, often with confusion or embarrassment:
“Why do I feel afraid of the raqi?”
Or they describe unease, anxiety, irritation, or a strong urge to avoid Ruqyah altogether.

Here’s the truth most people don’t realise:
that fear is often not yours.

When a person is affected by jinn or sihr, the jinn are fully aware of what Ruqyah represents. Qur’an, duʿāʾ, and remembrance of Allah threaten their presence. So, when healing becomes close, they react — not by revealing themselves openly, but by channelling fear through you.

Suddenly, you may experience:

  • Anxiety or panic near the raqi
  • Irrational negative thoughts about Ruqyah
  • Avoidance, irritation, or anger
  • A strong urge to cancel, delay, or run

It feels like your emotion — but the source isn’t your soul.

Think about it carefully. You don’t feel this way entering a café, a shop, or the gym. The fear shows up specifically around Qur’an, duʿāʾ, or someone guiding you toward healing. That distinction matters.

Your fitrah may want relief.
But the jinn do not.

So, what appears instead are excuses, sudden fatigue, confusion, emotional overwhelm, or misplaced fear of the raqi — rather than concern about disobedience to Allah. This isn’t because the raqi is intimidating. It’s because clarity and exposure are threatening to what’s hidden.

Here’s the key point:
Feeling fear around Ruqyah does not mean you’re weak.
It does not mean something is wrong with you.

It often means something inside you knows healing is close.

Many people later say, “I don’t know why I ever felt like that.”
That’s because once healing begins, the fear fades — revealing it was never truly theirs to begin with.

So, if you feel uneasy around Ruqyah, don’t be ashamed and don’t run from it.
Recognise it for what it is:

Not you being afraid of the raqi —
but the jinn being afraid of the Qur’an.

And that fear is often a sign you’re moving in the right direction.
